There are now over 780 My Hormones Made Me Do It fans on Facebook! Yay! Ask your friends to join: When we reach 1,000 Facebook fans, ALL fans will be entered into a random drawing and one of you will win an Ovulation Microscope, a handy little gadget that shows you when you’re ovulating. Simply lick the microscope and if you see ferns on the lens after your saliva dries, it means you’re at the end of Week 2 and entering Week 3. Great for knowing where you are in your cycle, especially if you tend to lose track or have irregular cycles! I love this little gadget and have used mine for years.

While getting ready for a trip to Disney that I’m currently on with my twin sister, Danielle, and my adorable niece and nephew, I remembered to clean the hamster to cage, pack my toothbrush and buy a bathing suit. What I forgot? To schedule Daily Hormone Horoscopes for the week I’m away. Danielle says it’s because I’m smart, but a “different kind of smart”. I think she means the absent-minded professor kind.
So, I just want to let you know that the Daily Hormone Horoscopes will be resuming on Monday, April 5, when I return.
But, for now, here’s a funny observation. I tend to blame PMS for most, if not all, health and mood woes I have during Week 4 of my cycle. So, when pounding headaches, nausea and dizziness hit me during the first two days of my vacation here in Disney, I naturally pointed an accusatory finger right at my old nemesis, PMS. That is, until I discovered that the hotel we’re staying in put out a basket of decaffeinated teabags so that I was going from an 8-cup of green and black tea per day habit (stop judging, tea has antioxidants!) to no caffeine at all. So, all those symptoms were simply from caffeine withdrawal. As soon as I started diving into caffeine again, all the symptoms miraculously disappeared.
I’m off to bed. We have a date with some A-list celebs tomorrow: Mickey and Minnie. See you again on Monday.
